My motto for myself as a creator has always been “Dream. Create. Inspire.” This project might be the most meaningful thus far because everything about this shirt is how I feel when it comes to being an artist or even a business owner. The quote “This Art Aint Free” comes from an interlude from “To Pimp A Butterfly” by Kendrick Lamar called “For Free?”. Artists put a lot of work into creating and often times consumers don’t respect the value aspect. That value supports the artist so they can continue to create more, but also support comes in many forms as you also see on the t-shirt.
